Our Projects

The OPD case of 2016 and 2017 were 16500 & 17578 patients annually respectively and indoor cases of average 600 cases per month in the year 2016 & 749 cases per month in the year 2017. The different procedures of surgery cataract (SICS and Phaco), Vitreo- Retina surgery (Pars plana vitrectomy & Buckle surgery), Glaucoma (trabeculectomy, Laser PI, Combined procedures-Trab, Phaco & PC-IOL), Glaucoma diagnostic (HVFA & OCT), Squint surgery, Oculoplastic surgery, DCR and DCT including all other Minor & Major surgeries. Organized Eye Screening Camp Programme are-720 (2016-2017), No of OPD cases – 120624, Selected Patients- 13237 and Patients Operated- 2610. The course of Diploma in ophthalmology students are 12(Twelve) in number for the year 2016-2017 and two years training of FCPS (Opth.) part-II recognized by BCPS. The students are Non-residential. The other facilities are Low Vision, Ocular prosthesis & contact Lens department, Medicine, ENT, Pathology department, Physiotherapy, Dental clinic & Blood Bank etc.

Lions Eye Institute & Hospital is a proud project of Bangladesh Lions Foundation and now constructed 11th multi storied building. The Future plan is to build up Medical College & Hospital, Modern Diagnostic center, Diabetic center and Lasix center in near future. Hopefully it will be one of the best Hospital in Bangladesh.
